Obedience to Law is Liberty

Hi Friends and Family!

It was SUCH a great week this week. Oh my goodness. Where to even begin.

There were a couple miracles. One was when we were tracting this week. She was the last door we were planning on knocking, and this cute Hispanic lady answers. We did our normal door approach, "We represent Jesus Christ, and He has sent us to you to leave His peace and a blessing on your home through a word of prayer. May we pray with you?" And she was like "oh yes, I definitely need a prayer, come on in." I was just chatting with her when words tumbled out that I did not put there... "You've been praying a lot, haven't you?" Her eyes got wide and she said "YES, I injured my spine and it is very painful." And I confidently said with my own voice but not my own thoughts, "We have been sent to you as an answer to your prayer" (or something like that... hard to remember words you don't necessarily come up with yourself!) and she was very eager to meet with us again. So we got her information and made an appointment for 3 days away- that's really fast! I know we were led to her. So cool how the Lord sends us His referrals!

Second miracle. I was on exchanges with another greenie, so I really stepped up to the plate. We have been teaching the 9 yr old son of a recent convert, who is seriously ADD. It is so hard to teach him because he is never focused, changes the subject constantly, always talks about video games, and tells us how much he doesn't like church because it's boring. So I decided to go in, let Gregory lead the conversation, and apply the gospel to whatever he said. He started talking about the traps he sets in Minecraft (whatever that is) and I applied that to the traps Satan sets for us. He then started talking about the gospel, willingingly, for the longest I had ever heard. He was talking about how Satan would have one deceptive sign post and the Holy Ghost would have a protective signpost. Then I told him how the Holy Ghost will protect him from Satans traps, and how he knew he needed to be baptized to recieve the Holy Ghost. So he agreed to be baptized and set a date! It was such an example of how to teach people and not lessons.

Ok, I'm so out of time to email. Bummer. But I love you all so much! Have a great week, and look for miracles in your own life. I promise they are there if you but search for them!

Lots of love and faith,
Sister Laser
