The WORK is hastening!

Hello Friends and Family!!!

First of all, I need to share a story about why members are so important. One lady in our ward offered to go out with the missionaries to our lessons. Her name is Sister Blessit (isn't that perfect?!?) and she's been having a hard time coming to church lately. She was really nervous, but we asked her to bear her testimony in the car and it was so powerful she started to cry. We have been working with one of our investigators, Sherman, for a while with little progress, so we decided to take her to go meet him. Sis Blessit bore the most powerful testimony to Sherman, and something in his head clicked. It was the farthest we had ever gotten to understanding with Sherman in a long time. She was so excited that she got to help and see him progress. She even came up to us and asked why Sherman wasn't there on Sunday, and asked when she could go out with us again. See! This is why members need to be involved in missionary work. We are young kids, and we don't necessarily relate to our investigators personally all the time. The members can relate, share experiences, and fellowship as they come to church. The Lord's plan is PERFECT.

One of my favorite things about being a missionary is being a role model. I can count at least a dozen girls, 12 or younger, that get so excited to see us. They grab our hands and drag us around, want lots of hugs, and want us to play with them. It is so cute! I like putting my name tag on them and calling them Sister so they can feel what it's like to be a missionary. I wish I had had more sister missionary role models in my life. They really make us feel like rockstars, which makes me want to be an even better missionary!
delighted to play with pretty ponies!

I also love being a role model to the young women (15 and older) and encouraging them to go on missions. We share stories with them and they come out with us to appointments. It's very cool and so many girls are preparing to serve missions. It is incredible!

We also had a fun ward activity that we invited a lot of investigators too. We had 15 people that weren't LDS show up! It was great to meet them in a non-threatening church environment. It was dinner and a variety show. The missionaries were told we had to do a skit super last minute, so we invited the Primary kids to come up and sing I Hope They Call Me On a Mission with us on stage. It was super fun until we forgot the words to the second verse. Oops!

I love you all! Thank you so much for your prayers and support! Keep praying for missionaries experiences, and I promise the Lord will put people in your path. Mosiah 27: 20-21 (I think!) we all can be missionaries and receive lots and LOTs of blessings!

Love and Faith, Sister Laser
