Anxiety... Cat?

You would think that as an only child, I would know how to handle being on my own. I'm fairly independent and I'm fine with being single for extended periods of time.

And yet, I'm having a harder and harder time being alone. I love my roommates, but they all have boyfriends so they are gone a lot. I'm frequently home alone because of it. And I feel like I'm turning to bad company just to avoid being alone.

I thought the fish would help... but he's just a fish. He doesn't do much.

I've heard of people who have gotten a prescription to have a anxiety cat. BYU doesn't allow us to have pets in our housing (even fish!) so the prescription is a way to get around that. If I were to have a cat, I think I wouldn't be as afraid of being home alone.

Plus... I love cats. Not as much as her though... but I do like how cats are relatively low maintenance. They are clean and cuddly without having to lick you to death. If you leave a cat alone while you're on vacation for a couple days it will be fine.

And I've had a cat ever since I was 7, so I always feel like a part of me is missing when my kitty isn't around.

If you want to know how much I really like kitties, here's a link to my Pinterest page about them. http://re.pn/b/goj2

I know I could get a kitten easily from my grandpa, their home/farm is crawling with kittens all the time. I just have to get the prescription... and convince some doctor that I have anxiety. Haha
