Well, it is that infamous transfer time. Bad news: Sister Reading is leaving me! I love that woman to death! Good news: I will remain in Covington, land of Vampires! Bad news: I have been assigned to be a Sister Training Leader. WHAT?!?!? I'm freaking out a little bit. I am living, walking proof that the Lord calls the WEAK AND SIMPLE.
Good news: We heard from Vicky! We were nervous she was avoiding us and we were very sad. Bad news: She had a family tragedy recently and has been out of town for the last week and a half. So I'm very grateful for all of your prayers last week on her behalf. She really needed it!
Good news: We found a lady named Maxine this week! It's so funny how most of the people I have taught on my mission have the same names as my family members. (Maxine is my grandma's name.) We taught her the first lesson this week and she just ate it all up. She told us she was looking for a church and had just recently moved to Covington, AND she wants her daughter to be baptized. So they are preparing for baptism in the middle of August! Maxine is so excited, and I can't wait to watch her progress even more in the gospel.
Good news: Terria and Aaryanna are going to the TEMPLE this Saturday to do baptisms for the dead!!!! They both got their temple recommends yesterday. Terria couldn't stop looking at it and wouldn't take it out of her hand. She is so excited and is already talking about how much she wants to serve a mission. I love those girls so much!!!
Well, good things are happening here, overall. I love being a missionary.
