This girl is on FIRE!

Hi Everyone!

It was such a great week here! Except for the part where I got eaten alive by bugs. I only spent a little bit of time outside and I ended up with about 20 bug bites on my legs the size of quarters. It felt like my legs were on fire! That is one major downside of Georgia is all of the bugs. But luckily Walmart is close by with lots of anti-itch spray and bug spray.

But you know who else is on fire? Vicky. Of course! She's read through Helaman in the Book of Mormon, and can't wait to not only finish the Book of Mormon, but read it AGAIN with the Bible and the foot notes, and also to read the Doctrine and Covenants. She came to church fasting with a purpose (and called us a few times to make sure she was fasting correctly) and paid a fast offering. She is so committed!!! She loved the testimonies and the spirit was so strong in that meeting. She mentioned how excited she was to be baptized again, so we helped her set a date for her baptism on July 26th! At church she even wanted to go see what the baptismal font looked like so that she could visualize it. This woman is amazing.

And we decided it would be best for the Elders to start teaching Kathryn's husband, Donta (pronounced Dante), and yesterday the entire family came to church! Donta is on date to be baptized on July 26th also. It will be so cool to have this whole family be part of the church. That's what our church is all about, families! And this family will be so blessed to have the gospel. Terria and Aaryanna are going to girls camp tomorrow, so please pray that they will have a good experience!

Also, we have started teaching this lady named Afshen. She is from Pakistan and is Muslim. We found her tracting but she invited us to come over and teach her. Honestly, I think it's because she is a stay at home mom with a one year old son, and appreciates the adult conversation. But we have met with her twice now, and we have the best conversations. She said she loves the way she feels when we come over (that's the Spirit!) and said she didn't feel like she was 100% sure she would be saved. I didn't think I would have an international experience in Georgia, but I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her and learning more about her culture.

I love you all so much! I love being a missionary. I seriously cannot think of a better use of my time. It's amazing!
