Hi Everyone!
This week was a splendid one. Really. Because we found a missionary gold mine- a trailer park! No, but really. Seeing a trailer park as a missionary is the equivalent of getting dollar signs in your eyes as a salesman. You see baptisms EVERYWHERE!
But really, we found some awesome people. We found this one young man, Justin, who knew one of the members of our ward! So we went back over with this member (she even brought him cookies!) and we had a fantastic discussion. He's really into C.S. Lewis, and he related a lot of the things we taught him back to his books. We were able to answer a lot of his questions of the soul, especially when we talked about how everyone will be able to learn the gospel, even if its after this life. Because everyone deserves a chance to learn about Jesus Christ and His gospel!
Then we found a family who just had a baby. I love it when you meet people and they just let you right in. So cool! They have a very strong belief in Christ but they don't go to church. We testified like crazy about eternal families, and felt the Spirit so strong in their little home. We are meeting with them again this weekend, and I'm so excited!
But I think the coolest trailer was when we knocked Rebecca's door for the first time, prayed with her, and she started asking us, "where is your church? What time does it meet?" and after we answered those questions, she said, "My uncle was a pastor, but just retired from a church, so we are looking for a new church." At that point my companion started testifying of the Book of Mormon, and she said, "Wow, I'll have to get my hands on a copy!" Oh gosh I love that response. "Well here, you can have THIS one!" (the one in my hand because I hold one wherever I go like a good little Missionary) and she said, "Wow, thank you! I'm excited to start reading it!" Love it. So much.
I love Easter. I love the focus on families, and rebirth. I feel like Easter is a great opportunity to begin our spiritual journey again, and refocus our lives on the Savior. I love Him with all my heart and am eternally grateful for all He has done for me.
I love y'all! Have a great week!
