"I know the Savior's Voice" - Quentin L Cook

Hi Everyone!

This week, Diane got to meet Quentin L Cook.

Let me repeat that, y'all: This week, my amazing investigator, Diane, got to meet an APOSTLE of the Lord, Quentin L Cook.

HOLY COW IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!

But backing up, it was a very rough week. Satan was definitely trying to interfere with the work this week since an Apostle was coming to town. It was so frustrating, and it was all we could do to keep our heads up, with faith knowing that everything would be better soon, especially with an Apostle was coming to address us.

But on Sunday, our stake had a special Stake Conference with Quentin L Cook. Diane actually drove us up to Tucker, about 45 minutes north (because its the only building big enough to hold our whole stake) and her niece Victoria came as well. It was a fun little road trip. The conference was amazing.

A couple memorable quotes:
"Tell the members that they are successful when they invite (regarding missionary work), regardless of the outcome."
"Push your doubts into the corner... you fill find your doubts will resolve themselves one by one."
and my absolute favorite, which he said at both the special Missionary conference on Saturday and at Stake Conference:
"I know the Savior's voice."

Wow. I have a testimony that just like the apostles in the primitive church, apostles today are called of God to be special witnesses of the Savior. I know that he is called of God. Can you imagine what it would be like to know the voice of the Savior? Wow. Just wow.

So now we're getting to the part where Diane met Elder Cook. We were just trying to help her meet our mission president after the conference was over, but our mission president was standing right next to Elder Cook. He had a lot of people around him, and Diane was trying not to be in the way too much, but Elder Cook went right to her and shook her hand, and then Victoria's, and then Sister Tavenner's and mine. At that point he asked us, "Are these investigators?" We nodded yes and then he went back to Diane and said, "Listen to these sisters. You are on the right path." Diane said, "Thank you, I guess that's what I needed to hear!" Then he looked back at Sister Tavenner and I and said, "Thank you, sisters." And with all the sincerity in my heart, I said to him, "Thank you, Elder Cook."

I'm getting chills just thinking about that whole experience again. I know the Savior lives. I know this is His church, restored again on the earth just as He organized it when He was here. I know that the organization is the same as His primitive church, and I know that prophets and apostles have the power and authority from God to run His kingdom on the earth. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us, with a perfect and infinite love. "His hand is stretched out still" even when we make mistakes or turn away from Him.

I love y'all! Have an amazing week!
