Hi Everyone!
This week a lot of amazing things happened. I love it when prayers are answered, don't you? Even though some answers take longer than others, prayers are always answered.
The shortest answer will be first! This week Diane was having a lot of computer troubles. So we decided to take Russell M Nelson's advice to heart, and offer our help to her. ("Ask the missionaries- they can help you!") As we sat in front of her house before we were supposed to fix her computer, I said a very funny prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, Diane is stressed out. And when Diane is stressed she smokes, and she can't smoke because then she won't be baptized, and I think you care about that, Heavenly Father! So please help me relieve some of her stress by blessing us with the knowledge of how to fix her computer. Amen." So we went inside, and after about 2 minutes of button pressing, it was fixed. Hooray! Now, don't you dare count this on my dad's awesome computer skillz, because I don't have many computer skillz, especially with Windows 8. So it really truly was a miracle.
Second answered prayer! Remember the kitten miracle? Remember how Diane is getting baptized THIS SATURDAY?!? Well, we decided to fast for a specific prayer again! This time it was a person prepared to be baptized in 3 weeks that had a lost dog we could find. This was inspired from the lost dog flyers we were seeing all over town. So yesterday after knocking this street fruitlessly, we saw a lone dog on a walking path. So we went to investigate! Well, this dog's owner was just out of sight, 20 feet behind him. Haha. But we still talked to him- turns out he was raised Mormon, just moved here 6 months ago and is looking for a church, and WANTS to take the lesssons! JACKPOT! We are so excited to teach him!
And since I mentioned Diane's baptism this Saturday, just remember how that huge prayer was answered 2 months ago, and this weekend will be the culmination of that prayer being answered. How do I feel about Diane being baptized? May I please refer you to Alma 26:2-9, 11-16, 22, 26-31, 35-37. Enough said. I love this woman so dearly, and I will bawl my eyes out when she is baptized.
I love you all! Please keep Diane in your prayers this week, so that she can overcome smoking and be baptized. I promise you blessings as you pray for her, and I testify that this church is true. The Atonement is real, and I know its real because I have never seen bigger change in a person than I have seen in Diane in 2 months. Not to mention the change I have seen in myself because she has been in my life.
I love you all!!!
Sister Laser :)
