It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new AREA!!!

Hello everyone!

Greetings from Sharpsburg, GA! A little town a whopping 2 towns away from Fayetteville, my last area. Luckily it's in the same stake so I get to still talk to Sister Raley and hopefully see Favetteville people at stake activities!

This ward previously only had 2 sets of elders, and hadn't had sisters in over a year. Now there are 3 sets of missionaries in this ward, so it is a brand new area! Which means we start completely fresh. The ward members are very excited to have sisters again, and we've already seen success in helping some less actives and recent converts in the ward.

My new companion is Sister Heath, all the way from UTAH! She's super sweet- almost at her halfway mark (but is in denial, aren't we all?). We have been having a ball getting lost together in Sharpsburg.

I have to tell y'all a funny story. It's kind of spiritual I guess, but not really. Its about gratitude though, just in time for THANKSGIVING!

We are currently living with a member who has this house backed up against the woods. Sister Heath and I went to church, and I knew that I put the phone in a pocket in my bag. (It really stinks not having pockets.) But when we got to church it wasn't in my bag, so I just assumed I was going crazy and I left it at home. Luckily, only like 5 people have our phone number right now so it wasn't that big of a deal. When we got home 7 hours later, the phone wasn't anywhere to be found in our house. I used the member's house phone to call our phone and still couldn't find it. I decided we needed to check the car. I could hear it in the car, but I couldn't find it anywhere. It was cold, so we piled in the car to say a prayer. Since it was dark, I called it again and waited to see where the glowing came from. The phone was UNDER the CARPET under the passenger seat. It was amazing we found it! But it was pretty stuck. Sister Heath was trying to get the phone out when I heard rustling in the trees. I froze, but Sister Heath was preoccupied so didn't notice. Then I saw this HUGE shadow, and I yelled, "GET IN THE CAR!" which clearly scared the shadow's owner and I flipped out. I thought for sure it was a bear or something. But this huge buck- at least 5 point buck- (male deer for those of you unfamiliar with nature) came out and ran behind the neighbor's shed.

Moral of the story? I'm so grateful it wasn't a bear. And that we found our phone. Prayer works.

I hope that all made sense. It's been a CRAZY week.

I love you all! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and have safe travels to wherever you may be going to. And don't worry, I'm getting fed on Thanksgiving. Miracles really do happen!

Love and faith,
Sister Laser
