So one month from today is when I'll be on the plane heading home for Idaho. *GULP* I can't believe the time has gone by so fast! And I really have no plans for when I come home besides get a job, so if you have any suggestions please let me know... in a month. :)
This week we moved into a new apartment, which took away a lot of time we normally have to teach. But we have the NICEST apartment now, it was newly renovated and has new flooring, paint, appliances, and faucets. We feel so spoiled! However, the coolest part was when we dedicated the apartment. We had 3 sets of elders and a senior couple help us move in, and we all gathered together to dedicate the apartment to the servants of the Lord. We also had our apartment manager and the maintenance man join us for the prayer, and afterwards our apartment manager was just blown away by our missionary service and dedication. We keep having opportunities to talk to him, like when we had to get a mail key for our new apartment and we got to explain why missionaries love mail so much. So we actually have a lesson set up to teach him tonight! Who knew moving would be such a good thing?

Since next week we have Stake Conference, this week was Fast Sunday. I got to bear my testimony since it was my last chance to bear my testimony as a missionary (so sad!) and I talked about when we make sacrifices, the Lord gives us SO many blessings that we could barely comprehend before we made the sacrifice. Then Nicole kept whispering that she felt like she needed to get up there and bear her testimony, but she didn't know what to say. She ended up being the second-to-last testimony, and she made me cry. She talked about her conversion story, how she met the missionaries, how much she loves the Book of Mormon and how she loves the Church because she no longer feels like an outcast. It was a very proud moment for me. I love Nicole so much!!!
Also, our good friend Eydie has started meeting with us again. During Thanksgiving break, Eydie took a tumble down 14 stairs and broke her leg in a very rare way. She hadn't made it back to Peachtree City for 2 months, and just got back 2 weeks ago. I just love her attitude though. While she was recovering, she developed a very close relationship with her sister and her father, who had to take care of her while she was recovering. She told us she knows why she needed to break her leg so that she could learn to be focused more on what matters most, which is family and God. She seems much more at peace and content with life. And she was able to come to church yesterday, and I thought her neck was going to get sore because she was nodding along all through Gospel Principles class. It was really cute.
I love this Church so much. I love being a missionary.
Have a great week!
