Goodness, it was a crazy week. I mean, most missionary weeks are, but this one was just really nuts.
The good news is that Jawan is getting baptized this Saturday! We taught him about fasting, and then when he came to church on Sunday he came fasting! And he said he lasted most of the day! So impressive. He is going to be a fantastic member of the church.
And we taught this awesome lady named Maria this week. We found her tracting, and she is a minister at a non-denominational church. We taught her the Plan of Salvation, and when we asked her questions, she gave her "opinions" that she couldn't find proof of in the Bible. Like, how there are 3 heavens and that after we die we continue to learn. And we were like, "Hey! You are so right! Look, here is the proof in the Bible! 1 Peter 3&4, and 1 Cor 15:45-48!" And she was so excited. She's actually already read the Book of Mormon about 4 years ago, and loved that it bore testimony of Christ. We are seeing her again this week, and I am praying that it continues to go well. Because if she is convinced of the truthfulness, then we might be able to teach her whole congregation! That's a missionary's DREAM! So, will y'all pray for that too? :)
I love y'all so much. I can feel your prayers helping me on this journey. I love being a missionary. Despite the craziness of it all, despite the heart-breaking moments, despite the crazy amount of stress, it is the best thing I have every done for myself. Because I can tell that I am becoming a polished stone, maybe just one step closer to becoming a diamond. It's pretty cool to see the change.
Love y'all!
Sister Laser
