Families are Forever

Hi Everyone!

This week was quite an adventure. I got to do my first exchange which involved two sisters that weren't getting along and a lot of tears. Great fun. Plus, it was on a P-Day.

Also, as a missionary you get involved in very strange things. For instance, I was asked to sing at a funeral for a member who passed away on Monday. I didn't know her very well, but it was an honor to sing for her. There were lots of non-members at the funeral, and they were crying a lot. I was so grateful for the Plan of Salvation and how it really helps us understand that people really go to a better place when we die. I hope the message of the song I sang carried that to them.

Jawan is doing great! He actually was able to talk to the Stake President for a long time at church on Sunday. He is so excited to get baptized next Saturday. He truly is so amazing and so prepared.

I just want to share my testimony about the temple. I love teaching people the Plan of Salvation. We usually get to teach it about 3 times a week, and I love the message it shares. That we are literally children of our Heavenly Father, and God has a plan for each of us. We all have a purpose. Our families are meant to stay together forever, and we know that death is just a new beginning, not an ending. I love teaching people the Plan of Salvation by drawing it out in sidewalk chalk and having everyone stand in the Celestial Kingdom at the end. That is really what we want it to be like! We want everyone to be with us in the Celestial Kingdom, with our family and friends and especially Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It makes all the stuff we have to go through in this life WORTH IT. And the temple just solidifies that message of the Plan of Salvation more and more every time I go.

I love you all, and I hope you are having a great week!
