Baptisms and Baby Animals!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

Ok, this week was amazing. Probably the most amazing week I've had yet on my mission. For real.

First, this week I got to hold SO MANY BABY ANIMALS! On Monday, I held some tiny baby chicks! Their breed is called "chocolate orpinton" so their names are Hershey, Godiva and Truffle. Haha these were at the member's house where we built the chicken coop.

Then on Tuesday I got to hold baby BUNNIES! Their was a blondie and an oreo one. We got to feed them lettuce and they crunched on it a lot like we crunch on corn on the cob. And then she was the most content when I held her like a baby in my arms, with all 4 paws up in the air. So freaking adorable!!!!

On Wednesday I held a BABY GOAT!!! His name is Riley, and he was a little less than thrilled. He kept baaaaing for his mama. But nevertheless, I got to hold him and it was fun. So there.

On Saturday, we went to a friend of a recent convert's house to use her computer. But lo and behold, their cat just had 5 tiny baby kittens that had barely opened their eyes!!! So precious! I sorta kinda freaked out when I saw all the babies huddled together next to a broom. I started hyperventilating because of the cuteness. Just a little embarrassing. But whatever. This friend is coming to church next week and she wants a Book of Mormon and for us to keep coming by, so clearly I didn't act too weird! Haha

Secondly, (and I guess the reason you are reading this email, because you probably see baby animals all the time, or don't care about baby animals. But to me it was Heavenly Father sending me tiny little adorable presents!) we had SO MANY MIRACLES!!!!

First of all, Kathryn not only brought her ENTIRE family, all 6 kids and her husband AND her grandson, to the Wednesday night activities this week! Then she brought 3 of her daughters to church on Sunday and two of them are signed up for girls camp this summer! Not to mention her baptism is this SATURDAY and she is so excited and so prepared! She stopped chewing tobacco and since then she was able to find a job, and she's been searching for a job for MONTHS! She said, "I think its a sign from Heavenly Father that I'm doing the right things." I'd say so! She just seems so much happier too. She smiles and talks so much more. I love love LOVE seeing the Atonement work in people's lives.

Not to mention we had EIGHT investigators at church!!! WHAT?!?!? Which was especially crazy because we had a flat tire on our car and we almost didn't make it to church! But the Lord blessed us with rides and EIGHT investigators at church. It was amazing!

Then, and this is my favorite part, above all the adorable baby animals. We've been working with a man named Harold for over 2 months now. He's been to church for 6 weeks, had all the lesson and studies from the Book of Mormon, but whenever we invited him to be baptized he always said no. "I've already been baptized into the Baptist church" he'd say. But we knew that if we invited him over for the Bible study on Sunday nights that things would change. He'd been planning on coming for the last 3 weeks but Satan would always get in the way. So we were DETERMINED! We got a member to pick him up and bring him to the Bible study. Then, this same member said, "Harold, when are we going to baptize you?" and Harold really thought about it and said, "give me a couple weeks" and then he commmited to being baptized on JUNE 21ST!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

I guess the moral of the story for Harold is how crucial members are in bringing in new members of the church. We as missionaries invited Harold to be baptized over 5 times! But when one of his peers, on his same education level, invited him to be baptized, and heard many testimonies from other new members, THAT'S when he said "yes". Isn't that incredible?

Please please please never be afraid to stand as a witness of God. I can promise you incredible blessings as you stand with God, and you will never stand alone when you stand with Him.

I love you all! I hope you have as fantastic of a week as I'll have!!! :)
