You know how when you're younger you want to be just like your mom? I was the same way. I saw my mom selling make-up and I knew that I wanted to be just like her. I even had my 18th birthday planned out when I was 8 years old... I wanted to get my Mary Kay starter kit and go on the Price is Right (both things you have to do when you are 18).
Well, I'm 20 now. After fighting against my 8-year old self for 2 years, I ordered my starter kit and have started Mary Kay. The only things that kept me from starting earlier were my own insecurities. I didn't think I could ever be as good as a consultant as my mother is, and I felt like I would be pressuring my friends into doing something they didn't want to do.
Well, now that I've done retail sales in San Antonio for four months, I don't feel guilty selling people things they will truly love and use. But Mary Kay is even better because it makes you prettier than you already are! Bonus!!!
I just want to publicly thank my friends and my mom's friends who told me I needed to start Mary Kay. Thank you for making me believe in myself that I can do it! Now I can hardly wait to come home and then go to Seminar in July!!!
And for the rest of my wonderful friends, thank you for believing in me as well. I can't wait to get started, and I hope that I can count on you to help me start out with a BANG!
Now I just need someone to take me to LA so I can go on the Price is Right. Any takers?!? :)
